🍷 FrosNest – Keep your wine cool, enjoy the moment. 🍷☀️

FrosNest is a wine-serving accessory designed to keep your bottles at their ideal serving temperature for as long as possible during meals, aperitifs, barbecues, and summer gatherings.

Compatible with the vast majority of 750 ml wine bottles, FrosNest accommodates a standard ice pack, ice cubes, or a combination of both. Its insulated cooling compartment helps reduce heat exchange while its design promotes the circulation of cool air around the bottle.

The sections surrounding the bottle that do not contain a cooling source feature a double-wall construction, creating an insulating air gap that slows heat transfer and improves temperature retention.

Designed as a complete wine-serving station, FrosNest also includes a dedicated corkscrew holder and an ergonomic carrying handle, making it easy to transport everything with one hand.

🔄 Update – FrosNest V4

Both V2 and V3 remain fully functional and continue to do exactly what they were designed for: helping keep your bottle at its ideal serving temperature for longer. V4 is not a fix, but rather a natural evolution of the concept, making it even more practical and versatile.

What's New in V4

  • 🗑️ The mini trash bin is now fully integrated into the FrosNest. There's no longer a separate accessory to print or store. It's always within reach for the cork, foil capsule, Champagne wire cage, or any small waste, helping keep your table clean and organized.
  • 🧊 The cooling compartment has been enlarged to 104 × 40 mm, making it compatible with a wider variety of commercially available ice packs.
  • 🍾 The corkscrew holder has been redesigned to better accommodate a larger range of waiter's corkscrews while making insertion and removal easier.
  • 🥂 A new optional removable wine glass holder is now available for both V3 and V4. It is compatible with many stemmed wine glasses featuring a stem diameter of less than approximately 9 mm. Up to two holders can be mounted on each side, allowing you to carry up to four wine glasses together with the FrosNest.

I hope this new evolution makes FrosNest even more enjoyable to use while preserving everything that made the previous versions so successful. 🍷❄️

🔄 Update – FrosNest V3

Thanks to your amazing feedback, FrosNest has already evolved! 😊

First of all, the original version remains fully functional and already does exactly what it was designed to do: help keep your bottle at its ideal serving temperature for longer.

However, after reading your suggestions and feedback, I wanted to push the concept even further. FrosNest V3 builds upon the original design by improving the circulation of cooled air around the bottle while keeping the same simple, practical, and efficient philosophy.

V3 introduces several improvements:

  • ❄️ The cooling compartment has been moved above the bottle. Since cooled air is denser than warm air, this new position promotes a more natural circulation of cool air around the bottle, helping to maintain its serving temperature even more effectively.
  • 🍾 The bottle opening has been increased to 90 mm, making FrosNest compatible with most standard Champagne bottles in addition to regular 750 ml wine bottles.
  • 🎨 The FrosNest logo has been reduced in size, minimizing filament color changes on multi-material printers and reducing filament waste during color swaps.
  • 🗑️ A new optional accessory has been added: a removable mini trash bin, perfect for holding the cork, foil capsule, wire hood, or any small waste that would otherwise end up on the table. A version is available for both FrosNest V2 and FrosNest V3.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to share ideas and suggestions. Your feedback has helped make FrosNest V3 an even more refined and versatile design while preserving the spirit of the original concept. 🍷❄️

Printing Recommendations

For the best printing results, do not enable the "Supports on Build Plate Only" option.

Print the FrosNest standing upright on its base, exactly as provided in the model files. This orientation has been carefully designed to:

  • ✅ Minimize filament consumption
  • ✅ Generate supports only where they are truly needed
  • ✅ Optimize the watertightness of the cooling compartment
  • ✅ Ensure a reliable print

Usage Tips

To maximize temperature retention:

  • Use an ice pack, ice cubes, or a combination of both.
  • Adding a small amount of cold water to the cooling compartment increases the contact surface with the ice pack, improving cooling efficiency.
  • On particularly hot days, simply place a lightly damp towel or cloth over both the bottle and the FrosNest to further reduce heat exchange with the surrounding air.

Optional Accessory

An optional condensation drip tray can also be printed.

Placed underneath the FrosNest, it collects condensation and meltwater from the cooling compartment, helping to keep your table clean and dry during outdoor meals and gatherings.

Why "FrosNest"?

Because every great bottle deserves a comfortable place to rest.

FrosNest combines Frost and Nest—a protective home that helps your wine stay at its ideal serving temperature for longer, so every glass can be enjoyed exactly as intended.

And thanks to its playful mascot—a cheerful wine bottle enjoying the cool—FrosNest reminds us that even fine wine deserves to relax a little. 😉🍷❄️
