Volvo V70I Tailgate Panel Clip Replacement Insert

One of the few weaknesses in the Volvo V70I is the attachment of the tailgate's interior trim

Here is the first attempt to bypass the usual repair kits, which only temporarily alleviate the problem and even worsen it in the medium term

Required:

• Assembly adhesive (SikaFlex - other adhesives will certainly work too)

Steps:

1. Print the part (at least PETG)
2. cut out the broken plastic (I used a Dremel - see pictures)
3. check if the insert goes in easily (a little space for assembly adhesive is needed)
4. Apply assembly adhesive
5. Insert the part
6. Reassemble the panel

I have just reinstalled the part and unfortunately cannot yet comment on its long-term performance. I therefore ask for your understanding and feedback
