Description
Lightweight motorcycle battery mount designed for my BMW E46 - battery size 150 mm x 70 mm
I use this exact mount in my BMW E46 330i (M54B30) built specifically for Time Attack.
My car features a fully stripped wiring harness with all unnecessary electronics and power consumers completely removed. The small motorcycle battery delivers 235A of cranking amps. This is enough to reliably start the M54B30 engine with its standard 1.4 kW starter. However, please note this setup is NOT recommended for standard road-going cars. OEM street cars have too many additional power consumers and electronics which will quickly drain or overload such a small battery. It is strictly meant for motorsport and track-use only.
Print using temperature-resistant materials. I printed mine using ASA/ABS
