BuchSchild – Parametric Book Cover

A customizable, flat-printed protective book cover for hiding and protecting the original cover.

Enter the book height, width, and spine thickness in the OpenSCAD file, then print the generated sheet. The model includes scored fold lines, upper/lower flaps, side flaps, and optional hook-latch/keyhole slots to keep the wrap in place.

Use

  1. Measure your book in a closed state (height, width, thickness) 
  2. Adjust the OpenSCAD parameters.
  3. Print the sheet flat.
  4. Fold along the scored lines and wrap it around the book.

Material note: flexible or semi-flexible thin materials fold best. PLA is useful for test prints; PETG/TPU or other flexible sheet-like prints may bend better.
