NAU - Mini Map Model - Flagstaff AZ - Desk Art
Print Profile(1)

Description
This MiniSkyline model is a 3D printed map of Northern Arizona University’s Flagstaff campus in Flagstaff, Arizona. It captures the campus layout as a physical miniature, with buildings, roads, green spaces, walkways, and major campus features represented in raised detail.
Printed on a P2S, but it should print fine on most modern printers.
The model was generated from map and building data, then processed into a printable 3D campus tile. The goal of this project is to turn real-world places into detailed tabletop-scale prints that preserve the recognizable layout, structure, and character of the location.
This NAU campus print highlights the university’s mountain-town setting and dense campus layout, turning the Flagstaff campus into a compact display piece for students, alumni, fans, and anyone who enjoys architectural map models.
This print is designed as a multicolor model and is optimized for AMS-style printing. The colors help separate the main visual layers: buildings, roads and paths, green landscape areas, white/light base regions, and terrain or landmark features. It can be printed in a single color if desired, but the model was not designed for clean part-by-part separation. The geometry is arranged for multicolor printing in place, not for printing each color as separate loose pieces.
Printing Notes:
Optimized for multicolor AMS printing
Can be printed in one color, but the details will be less visually distinct
Not recommended for printing colors as separate individual parts
Best printed flat on the build plate
A fine layer height is recommended to preserve small building details
Use a 0.20 mm nozzle for best results. Smaller buildings may become messy with larger nozzles.
Expect many small features, especially around dense campus areas
