Description

Boost Me (for free)

Help feed my filament addiction with a boost (or two)! It's free! Reviewing my print profiles also helps a ton! :)

I've been trying to consolidate my homelab setup, so i can actually use the desk it's sitting on. Part of that includes finding somewhere to stash my 2013 Mac Pros (yes, i use multiple. yes, i know how inefficient they are), so i figured why not try to rack mount them?

I've included a rudimentary rectangular cutout on the back panel to feed power and networking through, and 6 keystone jacks on the front to pass through the Mac's IO.

I do recommend printing both halves, because the Mac itself weighs 11lbs (5kg).

These prints took me about a week to smack together in TinkerCAD (I'm trying to find time to teach myself Fusion, don't worry), and will take you just under 1 day to print and 600g of filament. Together, end to end, they are 248mm deep, so they should be plenty long enough to bolt into either side of your Lab Rax with about 1m of play.

Printed in Sunlu Silk PLA+ Silky Silver.
