THE MODEL :
Forge an atmosphere of absolute power in your living space with this masterful wall display shelf inspired by High Fantasy's ultimate Dark Lord. This unique three-dimensional model features the bust of the armored antagonist emerging from your wall, his sharp, plated gauntlets reaching out to firmly anchor a sleek horizontal ledge. Showcasing spiked gothic armor plates and the iconic crown-like helmet, this design channels the imposing architecture of dark fantasy fortresses. It is the ultimate statement piece for fantasy enthusiasts, role-playing gamers, or pop culture collectors—perfect for displaying replica rings, collectible novels, or gaming memorabilia.
Tested Print Settings (Recommendations): The sharp helmet spires, layered cuirass plates, and articulated finger details of the dark armor were successfully verified and printed using matte black PLA.
- Infill: Display model printed at 5%. Major Load-Bearing Advice: Since the outstretched hands carry the entire weight of the ledge, we highly advise boosting the infill to 25-30% and adding at least 4 to 5 wall loops (perimeters) to reinforce the wrist and arm joints if you plan to hold heavy books or gaming gear.
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Supports: Tree supports are highly required beneath the overhanging helmet spikes, under both extended hands, and below the chest curvature for a smooth surface finish.
Sizing Information: The model is scaled to a standard size optimized for a commanding and balanced wall presence. Please feel free to freely resize the model inside your slicing software, whether to upscale it to your machine's physical limits or to downscale it into a compact custom trinket holder.
INFORMATION:
A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?
For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.
Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
