TwistLock Pocket Case

I needed a simple way to store and carry small everyday items, so I designed this pocket case.

The case features a rounded-square shape with smooth, soft edges that feel great in the hand. Threaded containers are usually cylindrical, but I wanted to create a square case with a threaded lid. To make this possible, I added a locking alignment feature that allows the lid and body to line up properly when fully tightened. The case can also be opened and closed with one hand, making it very convenient to use.

I designed two different lengths: 120 mm and 190 mm.

Dimensions

120 mm Version

Overall Dimensions: 120 × 26 × 26 mm
Internal Dimensions: 100 × 20 × 20 mm

190 mm Version

Overall Dimensions: 190 × 26 × 26 mm
Internal Dimensions: 170 × 20 × 20 mm

Suggested Uses

The shorter version is perfect for carrying ointment tubes, small parts, and other compact items.

The longer version can hold pens, insulin pens, cigars, and many other items—whatever suits your needs.

You can also print the rear Cap in different colors to quickly identify the contents of each case.

For those who would like a custom size, I have included a STEP Base file for the long version, allowing you to easily adjust the body length to your preference.

Printing

No supports are required for any of the parts.

The rear Cap and Pin must be glued to the Base after printing.

Note

Different filaments have different shrinkage rates and printing tolerances. The lid may feel tight when first assembled. Simply lock and unlock it several times, and the mechanism will become smoother with use.
