Description
Replaces the factory intake resonator while retaining a vacuum connection for other vacuum-operated accessories. will increase intake noise maybe 10-20% and clean up engine bay.
Print Material: PETG-CF recommended, standard PETG should also work. i did 9 wall layers
Hardware Required:
- 3/16” hose barb × 1/8”-27 NPT male fitting
- 1/8”-27 NPT tap
- PTFE tape or rtv sealant
Assembly:
- drill hole with 11/32, Tap the printed hole with a 1/8”-27 NPT tap. Thread gradually and test fit often since NPT threads are tapered.
- Wrap the fitting threads with tape and chuck it into a drill.
- Spin the fitting in a drill while filing the barb ridges for about 1 minute to reduce the outside diameter to around 4mm-4.5mm. This helps it fit in the factory ~3.5 mm vacuum hose.
- Apply rtv and install the fitting.
- Snap the plug into the intake tube using the factory retaining clip and connect the hose.
Designed around a 3/16” hose barb fitting modified to fit the OEM vacuum hose. Use at your own risk and verify fitment before driving.
