America’s 250th anniversary is a once-in-a-generation milestone, marking two and a half centuries since the founding of the United States in 1776. This patriotic bear was created to celebrate that historic occasion in a fun, collectible, and family-friendly way.

Proudly holding the American flag and standing behind the number 250, the bear wears a classic stars-and-stripes top hat inspired by iconic patriotic imagery. The combination of the flag, the bold anniversary numbers, and the cheerful character creates a display piece that honors America’s history while adding a playful touch.

Whether displayed during Independence Day celebrations, showcased in a home office, used as seasonal décor, or gifted to a proud patriot, this model serves as a memorable tribute to the Semiquincentennial and the enduring spirit of the United States.

Designed with bold forms and clean details, this model was created to be both visually striking and highly suitable for 3D printing. A single-colour print profile is also included for those who prefer a simpler printing experience.

Design note

You may notice that the flag go into the back of the bear’s head and hat and the flagpole extends into the “250” numerals. This was done intentionally to improve printability by reducing large unsupported overhangs. Since this is positioned at the back of the model, it is not noticeable during display while helping create a stronger and more reliable print.

For my multicolour models: if you are printing with a single extruder printer, you may see a significant amount of filament waste. This is not caused by the model itself, but by the way colour changes work with this type of printing system.

If you want to reduce the waste, you can:

• print multiple copies of the same model on one plate
• print several models from the same collection on one plate (import the 3MF files in one file)
• reduce the number of colours or print the model in a single colour

I design using tools like Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Blender, Nomad Sculpt, Meshmixer and sometimes Tinkercad. Like most modern designers, I also use AI as one of the helping tools in my workflow.
