THE MODEL :

Infuse the legendary power of medieval lore and high fantasy into your home with this masterful wall console. This unique design features the fierce, proud bust of a dragon emerging from the stone to securely hold a horizontal display ledge. The intricate webbing of its massive horns, the chiseled scale textures, and the surrounding dense Baroque scrollwork combine to create a dramatic and commanding piece of wall art. It is the ultimate accent for an author's study, a gothic library, or a fantasy enthusiast's living room—perfect for showcasing vintage spellbooks, raw crystals, replica daggers, or large candles.

Tested Print Settings (Recommendations): The rich organic textures and sharp horn profiles of this model were successfully verified and printed using matte black PLA.

  • Infill: Display model printed at 5%. Load-Bearing Advice: Since the dragon's head supports and distributes the weight of the top deck, if you intend to display heavy items, we highly advise boosting the infill to 25% and using 4 to 5 wall loops (perimeters) to reinforce the anchor joints.
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Supports: Required beneath the top ledge overhang and under the dragon's lower jaw for a clean surface finish.

Sizing Information: The file is scaled to a standard size optimized for a bold wall presence. Please feel free to freely resize the model based on your desired use within your slicing software, whether to upscale it into an imposing central console or downscale it into a compact custom trinket holder.

INFORMATION:

A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?

For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.

Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
