Small Aquarium Sponge Filter Media Holder

A compact 3D printed media holder designed to work with small 2 inch mini sponge filters.

This design lets you add and contain activated carbon and/or ammonia remover inside the printed body while still using a sponge filter inside. It is a great option for small aquariums where you want simple air-powered filtration with removable filter media.

Print Settings:
I suggest using PETG Filament for strength and durability.

Layer Height: 0.2 mm
Wall Loops: 2
Infill: 15%
Supports: On Up-take tube only needed
 

Simply insert the sponge filter (remove the weighted bottom from the sponge filter first, most either pull off on can be unscrewed), run the airline tubing through the up-take pipe, add your preferred filter media, attach it to your air pump and place it in your tank.
