Heavy duty interlocking lawn edging stakes designed for real outdoor use, not fragile decorative nonsense.
These printable garden edging pieces are made to interlock together and create a clean border for lawns, rock areas, garden beds, pathways, planters, and landscape sections. Each piece includes built-in ground stakes so it can be pressed or hammered into soil, gravel, or yard edging areas.
I personally like these best in PETG-GF because it gives the part extra stiffness, strength, and a really solid feel. That said, regular PETG should work totally fine for most normal yard and garden use, especially with enough walls. I’ll be uploading print profiles for PETG-GF, PETG, and PLA so you can choose what makes sense for your setup.
The PETG-GF test pieces were printed with heavy walls, pounded into the ground with a sledgehammer, and left cooking in Arizona sun and heat for over a week with no visible warping or failure.
Features:
- Interlocking lawn edging design
- Built-in ground stakes
- Wood grain style front texture
- Works for garden beds, lawn borders, rock areas, and pathways
- Heavy duty functional outdoor print
- Can be printed as individual sections and connected together
- PETG-GF, PETG, and PLA profiles included
- No supports needed depending on orientation
Material Notes:
PETG-GF is my preferred material for the strongest, stiffest version. Regular PETG is a great practical option and should work well for most outdoor use. PLA
can be used for lighter-duty installs, cooler climates, shaded areas, or testing the design, but I would not personally choose PLA for long-term hot sun exposure.
Suggested Print Settings:
- Material: PETG-GF, PETG, or PLA
- Wall loops: 4 to 6 for stronger outdoor use
- Infill: 15% to 30%
- Layer height: 0.20mm to 0.28mm
- Supports: Not required if oriented correctly
- Nozzle: Hardened nozzle recommended for PETG-GF
- Brim: Optional depending on bed adhesion
Installation Notes:
These are intended to be pushed or carefully tapped into the ground. If using a hammer or mallet, avoid striking thin edges directly. For harder ground, pre-softening the soil or making a starter slot may help.
This model was designed as a functional outdoor yard and landscaping part. Print strength and outdoor performance will depend on material, wall count, infill, orientation, local heat, and ground conditions.
