Before printing make sure to read the warning below!
The TOY Airsoft Pistol – Spring Blowback Hi-Capa Style is a fully 3D-printable spring-powered blowback pistol designed to combine mechanical functionality with a sleek, futuristic appearance. Created entirely from scratch, this is a fully original design and is not based on any manufacturer's CAD files or proprietary models.
The design features a simple elastic-powered mechanism that launches lightweight plastic BBs without the need for gas, batteries, electronics, or compressed air systems. The moving slide, trigger system, and removable magazine work together to create an engaging mechanical build that showcases what can be achieved with primarily 3D-printed components.
Developed as both a functional prototype and a maker project, the model emphasizes simplicity, printability, and ease of assembly while providing opportunities for experimentation and customization. Builders can explore different elastic setups, fine-tune performance, and create their own variations based on the core design.
Unlike conventional firearms, the mechanism is based entirely on a simple elastic-powered operating principle and does not utilize firearm components or firearm-compatible systems. The design was created as a mechanical hobby project focused on printable engineering and creative problem-solving.
The included demonstration video showcases the movement of the slide, trigger operation, magazine system, and overall functionality of the model in action.
Overall, this project combines printable mechanics, original styling, and modular design into a unique build that is equally enjoyable as a mechanical engineering project, display piece, or platform for future improvements and creative modifications.
Also a huge thanks to everybody who supported my olders project and gave me the modifications ideas and upgrade that made this model possible!
WARNING!
Although this is a 3D‑printed airsoft pistol and not a real firearm, it must be treated with the same level of responsibility. Misuse can cause injuries or dangerous misunderstandings. I assume no liability or responsibility for any damage, injury, or legal consequences resulting from the use, reproduction, or modification of this model. Use responsibly and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and safety guidelines. Here are important considerations:
1. Eye Protection Is Mandatory
BBs can cause serious damage to the eyes. Therefore: Always wear proper ANSI‑rated eye protection Never load, shoot, or dry‑fire near people without protection Never point at someone who is not aware and prepared
2. Never Shoot Animals or People Without Consent
Airsoft should only be played in controlled environments with willing participants.
This means: Never shoot at animals under any circumstances Never shoot at anyone who did not agree to play Never shoot at anyone without full protection (eyes + face at minimum)
3. Marking & Identification
Airsoft replicas can look realistic, so to avoid dangerous confusion: Paint the muzzle bright orange (or another high‑visibility color) Do not remove identifying marks Do not use or display replicas in public spaces
4. Legal & Environment
Different places have different laws. Always check your local regulations regarding: Airsoft gun ownership Public transport or storage Field rules and minimum safe distances Also, only shoot biodegradable BBs outdoors to reduce environmental impact.
5. Controlled Use
These models are not toys. They should only be used in: Registered airsoft fields Private spaces designed for safe target practice Locations without public access or visibility
6. Use the Included Safety Muzzle Device in Publicly Visible Areas
This design includes a removable high-visibility orange muzzle attachment.
If the model is transported, displayed, or used in any outdoor area where it could be seen by members of the public, the orange muzzle attachment should be installed and clearly visible. This helps reduce the risk of the model being mistaken for a real firearm and promotes safe and responsible use.
Do not intentionally conceal, cover, or obscure the high-visibility muzzle device when using the model in publicly visible environments.
7. Responsibility of the User
Anyone building or using this design must understand that: They are responsible for their actions They should maintain awareness of their surroundings They should comply with they're local laws They must follow all safety rules listed above
