Description
Due to the difficulty I experienced when attaching and detaching my detachable Westfalia tow bar, I discovered that on the one hand dust, rust, and grime had accumulated, and on the other the grease had deteriorated. Consequently, I cleaned and regreased everything, and developed this cap to provide protection. A small amount of grease can also be applied inside the cap, this ensures continued functionality and prevents the car from getting soiled when the tow bar head is stowed away.
The cap engages with the mechanism, ensuring that the spring bolt is released, exactly as recommended by Westfalia
Due to the stiffness when mounting and dismounting my detachable Westfalia tow bar, I noticed that on the one hand dust, rust, and dirt had accumulated, and on the other hand the grease was old. Accordingly, I cleaned and re-greased everything and developed this cap for protection. A little grease can also be applied inside the cap, so the function is always guaranteed and the car does not get dirty when storing the head.
The cap locks with the mechanism, so the spring bolt is relaxed as recommended by Westfalia.
Definitely fits the VW Passat 3C, but should also fit other manufacturers.
