Self-Orienting Egg Drop Challenge Design
Print Profile(1)

Description
This model was designed for the classic Egg Drop Challenge.
The design is inspired by the same principle used in a badminton shuttlecock: during the fall, the object naturally orients itself in the correct direction thanks to the difference between its center of mass and center of pressure. This helps stabilize the descent and improves the chances of the egg landing in the intended orientation.
The wide perforated cone increases drag, while the upper structure helps keep the egg-protection system aligned during the fall. It is a fun model for STEM activities, physics experiments, school projects, and 3D printing challenges.
Please note: results may vary depending on print settings, material, egg size, drop height, and impact surface. Testing and small adjustments are recommended.
