Description

This is a custom-designed snap-on cover for the Pebble Time 2, created to give the watch practical front-face protection without hiding too much of its original design.

I designed this because the existing 3D-printable covers I found did not quite match what I wanted. Some were bulkier than I liked, some did not have a satisfying snap fit, and others covered too much of the watch. On the other hand, bumper-only designs felt a little too exposed and did not give me enough confidence around the raised screen area.

This cover is designed to sit snugly around the raised screen section of the Pebble Time 2, giving the front of the watch a more protected edge while keeping the sides open. This allows the coloured sides of the watch to remain visible, which was important to me because I did not want to hide the character of the Pebble Time 2.

The result is a clean, practical cover that adds protection where I wanted it most, without turning the watch into something bulky.

For my own watch, I paired this with a Gadget Wraps screen protector for additional screen protection.

Recommended Print Settings

For the best fit and finish, I recommend printing this slowly with a 0.2 mm nozzle.

My best results came from:

Nozzle: 0.2 mm
Layer height: 0.08 mm High Quality

Bambu SuperTrak PEI plate for a smooth finish on the front
Print orientation: Face down
Speed: Around 15 mm/s for most speed settings
Estimated print time: Around 1.5 hours

The slow print speed made a big difference to the finish and precision. It takes patience, but the final result was worth it.

Disclaimer

This is a snug snap-on design, so results may vary slightly depending on printer calibration, filament choice, and print settings. A well-tuned first layer and slow print speed are recommended.

Printed great with my .4mm nozzle. snapped into position well and even fits around the screen protector that I have on my time 2.

Printed this for my pebble time 2 with bambulab black basic PLA and a 0.2 nozzle and it fits perfectly around the watch. it's a tiny hit tight at the top and bottom around the pebble supplied straps, but this isn't an issue when the watch is on your wrist.

thanks for the feedback and glad to hear the print turned out well. I kept it very tight at the strap ends for I did not want a gap between the strap and cover/bumper. When wearing it the aim was to have it almost look like there is no cover on the watch. Can tweak the design and add a variation if this bugs enough people.
