The Hive: tileset

The heavy, cloying scent of honey and rot fills the air as your party ventures deeper into the shifting labyrinth of The Hive. Suddenly, the ominous sound of wings shatters the silence, and a giant wasp appears, its stinger dripping with venom as it blocks your only escape.

The Hive

This tileset is part of a series called “The Hive”.

A collaboration project between Mike Gyver Minis and myself, Together 3D. Where we combine our strenghts into a ready to print and play adventure.

Mike Gyver Minis supplies the high quality detailed miniatures and I create the envionment where your party can encounter them.

The Hive: Tileset

This 100% supportless modular tileset gives you the ability to create epic adventures in a giant wasp nest, an alien organic ship or many more options.

This set includes:

• Basic tile: 2x2 and 2x4 variant
• Wall
• Corner
• Arch: gate without door system
• Gate with a functional door sliding system. Where a hexagon patterned gate slides in and out to open and close the gate.

Instructions

• Print the tiles of your choice.

• Remove the small supporting pins on the sides.

   

  

• Print Openlock clips to connect the tiles.

• Push one or more Openlock clips into the tiles (depending on the size of the tile 1 can be enough, 2 works best with big tiles).

  

• Connect the tiles together.

The set works with the OPENlock system. Meaning you can combine the different tiles by simply clicking them together using the OPENlock clip. Everything is 100% 3D printable.
The tileset is printed at 0.16 mm and supportless.

I personally printed mine in Desert Tan matte, to then prime it (lightly) brown, paint with ancient honey from Army Painters and drybrush with basic beige.
