Wheelchair Clip Mount (Folding Canes Only)
Print Profile(3)

Description
This is a robust, compact, and highly practical assistive mobility adapter designed exclusively for wheelchair users who use collapsible/folding canes. It provides a secure, rattle-free storage spot to lock your folded cane directly onto the wheelchair's armrest frame or tubing.
Many off-the-shelf mobility clips are built for massive, full-length walking sticks, which get caught in doorway frames or drag near the wheels. This split-clamp clip solves that specific issue by holding a neatly folded cane close to the upper chassis—keeping your mobility aid within arm's reach without cluttering your seat space or interfering with your wheels.
⚠️ IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTE: This mount is strictly designed for folding canes only. It will NOT work for standard, full-length, non-folding walking sticks as they are too thick for the clamp geometry and will cause the chair to tilt or the mount to fail.
🛠️ Intended Use
- Primary Function: To hold and lock a multi-section folded walking cane snugly against the side of a wheelchair frame.
- Mounting Style: A heavy-duty, two-piece flexural clamp securement system utilizing standard M3/M4 bolts and hex nuts.
- Application: Perfect for active individuals who fold their cane up while seated and need an easy, accessible slot to slide it into.
🖨️ Recommended Print Settings
To ensure this assistive device handles daily vibrational stress without snapping, please use the following print profile guidelines:
- Filament Choice: PETG, ASA, or ABS are highly recommended for mechanical flex and outdoor UV resistance. Avoid standard PLA as it is too brittle to handle clamp tension.
- Wall Loops: Set to 4–6 walls (do not rely purely on infill density for structural strength).
- Infill: 30%–40% Gyroid.
- Pro-Tip: Line the inside of the folding loop with a thin piece of adhesive rubber foam tape or a thin TPU sleeve to add maximum friction grip and completely eliminate rattling over bumpy ground.
