Description
A colleague asked if I could reproduce some window latches for an old caravan — and so I did.
Most of the original parts for the latches were seriously deteriorated due to use and UV exposure.
However, the mounting screws and pivot screw were possible to reuse. I did, however, design and print all the parts.
I printed the parts in PETG, as that was what I had available in white. However, ASA would be preferable due to its better UV resistance.
I utilized a Ø2×10 mm stainless steel pin in the pivot pin to allow it to withstand higher shear forces.
Printed on an H2D — you may need to rearrange the objects on the plates or split them across multiple plates if you have a smaller printer.
