Description

1982 Ford F-150 "Bullnose" Functional Key Holder - Classic Truck Edition

Design Concept

Celebrate the rugged, hard-working heritage of 80s American pickups with this highly detailed 1982 Ford F-150 wall-mounted key holder. Meticulously modeled in Fusion 360, this piece features the distinctive and universally loved "Bullnose" front fascia. It accurately replicates the egg-crate style grille with the central oval emblem housing, square headlight bezels, lower bumper tow loops, and aggressive off-road tires protruding from the fenders. It is engineered to be a tough, eye-catching piece of functional automotive art for any garage, shop, or entryway.

Key Features

  • Precision Fusion 360 Engineering: Optimized specifically for clean FDM 3D printing, ensuring sharp definition on the grille mesh, bumper steps, and the detailed tread of the off-road tires.
  • Integrated Keyslot Mount: The rear of the mounting plate includes a built-in keyslot (keyhole) mechanical mounting system. This allows the truck frame to slide firmly over wall-mounted screws for a completely flush, clean, and invisible look.
  • Reinforced Utility Hooks: Integrated into the heavy classic front bumper assembly, these hooks are reinforced to easily hold heavy daily-carry keyrings, workshop lanyards, or small tools.

Printing & Material Advice

  • Recommended Material: Grey PETG. To support the functional load on the hooks and the stress on the wall mount, PETG is highly recommended. As seen in the preview, Grey PETG offers superior layer bonding, impact resistance, and a solid industrial metallic look right off the print bed.
  • Layer Height: 0.16mm - 0.2mm to retain the crisp geometric lines of the front end and tire patterns.
  • Infill: 20% to 25% (Gyroid or Grid pattern) for excellent internal structural integrity.
  • Supports: Minimal supports are suggested for the overhanging bumper base, hooks, and inside the internal mechanical keyslot cavity.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Print: Use Grey PETG for maximum mechanical durability and a high-quality finish.
  2. Wall Prep: Install standard screws with drywall anchors into your wall, leaving the heads protruding about 3-5mm.
  3. Mount: Align the integrated keyslots on the back plate with the screw heads and slide the model downward to lock it securely into position.
