First off, full credit to the original designer—this is a remix with some functional improvements.
I’ve been collecting Hard Rock Café shot glasses and currently have over 40 from different locations. After trying a few display options, I noticed that most didn’t hold the glasses very securely. They felt loose and could easily shift or fall out if bumped.
What I Changed
- Snap-Fit Design
- Glass loads top-first.
- The bottom flexes just enough to let the glass snap into place.
- Once installed, it holds the glass firmly so it won’t shake or fall out.
- Improved Stability
- Designed to prevent movement from vibration or accidental bumps.
- Much tighter hold compared to the original design.
- Built-In Light Channel
- Added a rear channel for a rope light or LED strip.
- Lighting reflects off the glasses instead of shining directly at you.
- Creates a clean, display-case look without glare.
Notes
- Designed around standard Hard Rock Café shot glasses.
- Some variations may fit slightly differently.
- This design has been tested with my collection (40+ glasses).
About This Model
I’ve only been 3D printing for a couple of months, and this is my first attempt at remixing and modifying a design to create something more functional. The goal was simple: make a display that actually secures and showcases the glasses properly.
Feedback is always welcome! (Be nice)
