Even Realities G2B Sunglass Clip-On Frame

Even Realities G2B Clip-On (Work in Progress)

Initial draft of a sunglass clip-on for the Even Realities G2B frame. Not a finished design. Fit and dimensions are still being refined.

Started from OEM-published dimensions (49.5 × 36.7 mm lens, 19.5 mm bridge, 132.8 mm hinge-to-hinge). Imported a product photo of the OEM clip into Fusion as a canvas, calibrated to the lens-rim width, then auto-traced the outer outline via pixel detection. The outline, hook positions, 45° bend angle, bridge arch, and the 2.25 mm / 1.25 mm standoff gaps for lower/upper hooks were dialed in by eye against the reference photo plus measurements from an actual ER G2 B sunclip, then refined through multiple test fits.

Status:

• Lens cutouts not yet validated. I'll cut cheap sunglass lenses to fit and report back.
• Geometry is slightly asymmetric (sub-millimeter, within FDM tolerance)
• I'm continuing to iterate.

A starting point for anyone who wants to design their own G2B clip-on or improve this one. Remixes welcome. Please share back if you make it better.

Print: Bambu PETG HF, 0.2 mm nozzle, textured PEI, no supports needed.

Known issues / TODO:

• Asymmetry between left/right hook positions (~0.3 mm)
• Hook bases manually shaped, not parametric
• Lens cutout fit unverified
• Bridge-to-rim transitions are hand-tuned
