Alexander’s Experimental Sink Lab

Transform your bathroom sink into a modular STEM-inspired experiment station for toddlers and young scientists.

This project was designed to turn everyday routines into imaginative play while also helping organize sink-side clutter in a fun and engaging way.

The system includes:

  • Modular sink trays
  • Test tube holders
  • Funnel station
  • Measuring cups
  • Rinse and mixing zones
  • Toothbrush experiment cup
  • STEM-inspired labels and signage

The curved sink-fit design helps maximize usable counter space while giving the station a clean integrated appearance.

Printing Notes

Recommended Materials:

  • PLA+
  • PETG for water-heavy environments

Recommended Nozzle:

  • 0.4mm

Recommended Layer Height:

  • 0.20mm

Most parts print support-free.

Large tray sections may benefit from:

  • textured PEI plate
  • clean build surface
  • auxiliary fan disabled for PLA on smaller sections
