Boost Me (for free)

Your Boost is my Passion <3

Is it just me, or does anyone else with an open kitchen have the same issue where water gets everywhere?! The design looks clean and neat, but it’s not very practical for cooking and washing dishes.

So, I built a splash guard that perfectly solved my issue, with dovetail connections between left and right components. The 3mm/5mm detachable pads (Optional) provide stability and help prevent mould forming underneath the guard.

!!! Updates 15/02/2025 !!!

Thank you all for the Likes, Comments and Boosts! I would like to share a quick update on the current version after using it for a couple of days.

  1. Increased the nose size to 10mm with a notch underneath to prevent water from escaping to the bottom.
  2. Added a 3mm Round Pad in case the the height is too tall and blocks the tap handle.

  3. Added a full-edged version to prevent water from seeping through the connection to the bottom.

2 Sizes available:

  • Size 1: 10.3 cm (excluding dovetail) length Left/Right Splash guard
  • Size 2: 19.2 cm (excluding dovetail) length Left/Right Splash guard
  • 11 cm width
  • 3 cm distance from the edge of tap to sink
  • Maximum tap diameter: 4.5 cm
  • 4 x 3mm/5mm height detachable feet for each component (Optional)
  • Dovetail connection
  • 0.4mm tolerance

Non full-edged version:

  • May need to apply some bonding between the connections - such as Blue tac, Tape, or Silicone sealant - to prevent water seeping through

!!! Please feel free to comment below if you'd like me to upload a new version of the splash guard compatible with your tap size and distance to the sink!

Great. Can it be resized the distance from the edge of tap to sink, the length of the splash guard and the width ?

Hi Muka, yes, I will roll out a modular version soon (finished all the models just working on the instruction now) that can customise the total length of the splash guard. For the distance/width of the splash guard, please let me know what is your distance/width. I can make a quick change for that :)

Width 135mm, total length 300mm (split into two according to your design). Diameter of the hole is 55mm. The position of the centre of hole is 105mm from the edge instead of middle of the width. Thank you.

This looks great! I'd love to print it, but my faucet base is 70mm in and 33mm from the edge of the sink - Would be great to be able to customize it some.

Thank you for your warm comment! I've just start learning OpenSCAD and hopefully can roll out a version that anyone can customised by their own later in this year, but of course I am happy to make the quick adjustment to suits your kitchen, would you like the 10cm length or 20cm length version to be updated? :)

Awesome! 20cm would be perfect—really appreciate it, thanks.

Great design but can’t be customized freely. My faucet is larger but simply scaling x, y fails other size requirements…

Hey Rayzoo, thank you for the comment! Please do not scale in single dimension since the design of the texture & connection between the components may fail. What is your diameter of the faucet/tap & the distance between the tangent of tap to the edge of the sink?
