SUNLU Spool Insert for Silica Gel / AMS Drying

Matching spool insert for SUNLU spools for use of silica gel in the AMS.
The insert simultaneously serves as a spool weight and a filament dryer directly in the AMS system.

The insert is simply placed into the inside of the spool and can be filled with silica gel. The honeycomb design maintains good air circulation, allowing moisture to be absorbed effectively.

Special Feature / Fit

Unfortunately, SUNLU spools do not have an exactly identical inner diameter.
After measuring 10 different spools, I found deviations of up to 0.3 mm.

Therefore, the insert was deliberately designed for the smallest measured inner diameter. This allows the insert to fit even in spools with tighter tolerances and should be compatible with all tested SUNLU spools.

Depending on manufacturing tolerance, the insert will fit:

• tight,
• slightly clamping,
• or a bit looser.
