Description
Sometime in the 1990's I purchased a wooden puzzle just like this one. It was at a swap meet in Arizona. The old man was amazed that I figured it out in less than 30 seconds…..most people do not. Fast forward to today. I ran across the wooden version in my tool box recently. Aha! Why not print it? I then found some versions of this online, but the ones I found were printed up and then glued together. These are printed in place. Each puzzle consists of two blocks and 4 pins. The printing is stopped just as the pocket the pins set in are almost closed up. At this point you insert the pins and continue printing. It took several attempts but I finally got it right. The locking pins freely move inside the model and will not come out. I have been printing these in ASA, and with the fuzzy skin and some text I think they look amazing. Hand them out at a conference with your company name or logo, at kids parties, or just as a novelty to have around. After the parts print, make sure there are no burrs or defects that would prohibit the travel of the locking pins and you should be good to go!
