Bring Akira Toriyama's adventure to your desk! I have designed this faithful replica of the iconic Radar, including a custom display stand with the Capsule Corp logo. This model has been optimized for a clean and professional finish, ideal for fans and cosplayers.
I have taken the liberty of uploading the 3mf file with several print plates, so you can choose the model that best suits you. Personally, I wanted to give my model a different touch, and I decided to use orange acrylic-painted silica gel balls in the radar. Feel free to modify it as you wish!
🛠️ Design Details
The model is designed to be printed with filament changes to be used WITH and WITHOUT AMS. I have paid special attention to the proportions so that it feels real in hand, and the tolerances are correct so that everything fits, although you can use glue if you find them too tight.
- Radar: Features the characteristic grid, the Dragon Ball location points and the upper button in two versions, smooth or threaded.
- Base: Ergonomic stand with the Capsule Corp logo and brand in different print plates, embossed or smooth. (The logo should be smooth)
🚀 Printing Recommendations
To get the results you see in the photos, I suggest the following settings:
- Material: PLA (Colors: White, Green, Orange, Red, and Black).
- Layer height: 0.16mm for the radar and display. 0.20mm for the base.
- Walls: Consider increasing the number of walls to between 4 and 6 if the white color makes the interior infill too translucent.
- Infill: 10-15% Gyroid.
- Supports: Only needed on the button part, or depending on how you want to orient the model.
📋 Assembly Instructions
The design is intended for a snap-fit, but I recommend a drop of cyanoacrylate (super glue) if you use the non-AMS option on the display for the balls and the arrow (or if you opt for silica balls like me :) ). I also recommend gluing the plate and logo to the base so that it doesn't fall off. (Depends on tolerances)
