Kubota BX HST Fan Guard
Protect your HST fan and your sanity from Kubota’s questionable design choices.
This guard is designed to help stop sticks, rocks, and other debris from reaching your HST cooling fan.
Is it as strong as the metal guards from Bxpanded or artinmetal?
No. unfortunately not.
This part is made from plastic, so it will never be as strong or durable as a metal guard from companies like Bxpanded or artinmetal.
However, if you don’t want to spend $200+ on a metal solution, this is a LOT better than nothing and provides significantly more protection than the factory setup.
Important! Some older BX's don't have the medal HST guard plate at the bottom
Make sure your one does before printing. I believe all the 80s series do but I could be wrong. if you know when they started implementing them please comment.
Can i use my mower with it on?
Yes. unlike the Bxpanded one this one sits above the mower.

Note:
This print uses approximately 250g of filament. While that may seem excessive, it's better to be safe than sorry.
Filament Choice
I highly recommend using a Carbon Fiber (CF) infused filament, such as:
ASA-CF
PA-CF (Nylon CF)
PETG-CF
These materials provide significantly improved stiffness, heat resistance, and durability.
Climate Considerations
Choose a material appropriate for your local environment.
If you regularly operate in freezing temperatures, make sure your chosen filament does not become overly brittle in the cold.
General Rule
Use the stiffest, most heat-resistant material your printer can reliably handle.
