Slate - Modular Wall Organizer System
Slate was designed around the idea of balancing functionality and aesthetics without leaning too heavily into either. The goal was to create something practical enough to become part of an everyday routine while still feeling calm, minimal, and architectural on the wall.
The system combines modular accessories with a universal pegboard layout, allowing the organizer to evolve depending on your setup and daily essentials.
Included in the current system:
- Modular accessory plate
- AirPods charging dock
- Apple Watch charging dock
- Sunglass holder
- Key hooks
- Integrated analog clock
- Universal pegboard section
The pegboard uses: 6 mm holes 25.4 mm spacing (pitch) and should support most standard 6 mm pegboard accessories designed around a 25.4 mm pitch system.
Slate was designed around the things I reach for every day:
- keys
- sunglasses
- AirPods
- Apple Watch
- a visible clock
The idea was to give each object a dedicated place without making the organizer feel visually busy.
Modular System
All parts are separated into individual modules and plates for easier printing and assembly. AMS is not required for most of the build.
The only multicolor component is the clock face, which can either be, printed with AMS or painted manually afterward.
I plan to add more module types in the future, so feel free to leave suggestions in the comments.
People are also free to design and share their own custom modules.
Standard module dimensions:
Height : 67.85 mm
Width : 77.85 mm
Depth : 9.85 mm
Fillet : 11.925 mm radius
Module Attachment
Modules can be attached using magnets or double-sided tape.
Recommended magnets: 6 × 2 mm magnets
The full setup uses roughly: 36 magnets, though you can reduce the number if needed. The magnets are friction fit.
To avoid polarity mistakes(check uploaded photos):
- Insert magnets into the base plate first
- Press them flush using a flat object
- Place another magnet on top
- Press the module onto them
This automatically aligns polarity correctly.
Once inserted, the magnets are difficult to remove, so check orientation before fully seating them.
Each module also includes: 1 mm recessed cutouts for double-sided tape mounting.
Wall Mounting
The base plate was designed primarily around:
- Command strips
- double-sided mounting tape
Standard Command strips should work, though I trimmed mine slightly for a cleaner fit.
There are also cutouts at the top and bottom for:
- cable routing
- easier removal from the wall
Charging Setup
Slate supports:
- 1 AirPods charger
- 1 Apple Watch charger
Both cables can be routed internally through the rear channels. There is enough internal space behind the organizer to fit a small USB hub, allowing both chargers to connect internally while only running a single cable externally.

Fitment for other third-party chargers may vary slightly depending on tolerances and dimensions. The AirPods dock was designed using: AirPods Pro 2
Printing Notes - Please use the provided print profile for the best results.
Supports are enabled where needed to improve finish quality in critical areas.
Recommended settings: 3 walls
You can reduce to: 2 walls for non-structural parts if preferred.
Sunglass Holder
The sunglass holder experiences the most stress. Recommended material: PETG although the model shown in the photos was printed in PLA.
Recommended settings: 3 walls minimum, 40% infill
The current sunglass holder works well for most standard frames, but it may not support every sunglass shape or frame geometry.
Since the system uses a universal pegboard layout, you can also swap in or design alternate sunglass holders depending on your frame style.
There are already several good pegboard-compatible holder designs available on MakerWorld if you need a different fit.
Key Hook

Watch Mechanism
The standard bambu watch mechanism should work. The dimensions are 57MM*57M for the slot. My mechanism had depth of 18MM with shaft length of 16MM. Less shaft length should also work.
The watch was attached with some double sided tape on to the back of the module.
