Red Sea ReefLED G2 115 Quiet Fan Cover

This Red Sea ReefLED cover replaces the original to move the fan cover around 1.5cm away from the top of the fan, reducing fan noise caused by the stock cover being too close.

I printed in both PLA and ABS and both fit perfectly, just pop off the old fan cover and pop in the new one. You can also replace the original rubber hole covers to hide the screws.

I only had clearance issues with 1 of the 6 prints, where the fan was knocking against the guard. To fix this, I removed the guard and used a sharp blade to cut away a 45° slice on the inner corners of the guard clips. 

Although my decibel meter only read a drop of 2db, there is a complete reduction of a certain frequency cause by the cover being too close to the fan on the original cover, which for me is a win.
