Introducing the MINI-WHISTLE Caterpillar, a minimalist 3D-printable whistle. Its special feature? An elegant, sleek line that stylistically recalls the shape of a tiny caterpillar. It’s a modern, subtle design detail that many might not notice at first glance, but it gives this model its name and a touch of uniqueness. Despite its tiny size, its optimized internal architecture produces a sharp, piercing sound of up to 110 dB, which can be heard from a great distance.

3D Printing Guide & Print Profile

If you are using the raw files or tweaking the print profile, please follow these guidelines:

Material

PLA is highly recommended (perfect for vibrant colors like Bambu PLA Basic/Matte) or PETG (if you need heat resistance, e.g., leaving it in a hot car). A textured PEI plate gives a beautiful, flawless finish.

Infill

Set to 100%. This is essential not only for structural integrity but to prevent internal air leaks and guarantee maximum loudness.

Supports

Absolutely NONE. Printed flat on the bed.

Crucial Note for Slicing

To ensure the whistle sounds right, use a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height. It is vital to print perimeters slowly (e.g., 25-30 mm/s outer wall) and ensure your bridging is well-calibrated. Sloppy internal air channels will kill the sound! (Note: This model doubles as a great bridging/calibration test!).

Setup & Everyday Use

The design features a built-in loop for easy attachment. Once printed, no tuning is needed.

EDC (Everyday Carry)

Slip a small metal split-ring through the hole and attach it directly to your keys.

Outdoors & Sports

Tie a paracord lanyard or use a micro-carabiner to clip it to your backpack, jacket zipper, or belt loop.
