ALPAKA HUB ModPanel
Print Profile(1)

Description
Hang your ALPAKA hubs / gear with this low cost alternative to the HUB ModPanel Mini.
This measures 200 mm wide x 19 mm tall x 4.5 mm deep. I used multiple 10 x 5 x 2 mm bar magnets by laying them out along a groove inside the model. There is a pause in my print profile to insert the magnets. I used two command strips to mount.
IMPORTANT: Double check that you are laying out the magnets with the correct polarity before resuming your print!
I stuck my bar magnets to an Alpaka hub accessory and used a marker to draw an “X” on the exposed side of the magnet. When placing my magnets into the printed groove, I made sure the “X” was facing up. If you do this correctly, the magnets will REPEL each other from the sides when laid inside the slot. The bar magnets WILL NOT be able to touch from side to side and that means you are doing it correctly. I laid 9 magnets into the slot with space in between them and it works great. You do not need a solid line of bar magnets inside the print to make this work.
Needless to say, the top side of the print is the wall side and the plate side is the outward facing side when mounting.
NOTE: When viewed from the side, one of the long edges is thicker (see image - right side is thicker than the left side). When mounting to the wall, the thicker edge is the bottom edge.
I used a carbon fiber pattern print plate for a little extra flare.
If you need a different length, let me know. Enjoy!
