Gikfun 6-12V Self Priming Diaphragm Pump Enclosure

An enclosure for Gikfun DC 6V-12V Self-Priming Diaphragm Pump.

There is a picture from the vendor of the pump of size. 

Pump can be found on Amazon. 

Pump tubing is a pure silcone tubing 5mm (id) x 8mm (od).

I am using the pump in my designed enclosure for a waterfall feature in a Vampire Crab terrarium.

I did wrap the bottom half of the motor with 3M ½" x 1/16" thick foam. (optional)

Place pump into bottom enclosure pushing the rectangle rubber pads into place and then gently pushing the outer pad arms onto the mount positions.

Make sure your power source is correctly positioned on the connections of the motor and motor turns in the proper direction. Testing function.

Solder the wires onto the motor once you verify it will be wired correctly.

Shove some excess wire into the enclosure and line up with the wire open of the enclosure.

Using whatever adhesive you desire, I used gel super glue, and add a layer around the upper sections of the bottom enclosure.

Place the top enclosure down onto the bottom. You will have to insert the inlet at an angle and bring the enclosure down. 

Clamp until dry. 

Run your tubing.
