Finnish:

Virallinen SF-tunnus on ollut tiettävästi aina valkoinen, mutta rinnalla on ollut epävirallisia mustapohjaisia myös käytössä.

1930-1940-luvulla koko n. 180x300 mm.

1951 määriteltiin Suomessa SF-tunnuksen mitat: Vähintään 115x175 mm. Kirjaimet 80 mm korkeat, ja viivan paksuus 10 mm

1950-1960-luvulla koko vakiintui 125x185 mm.

1960-luvun lopussa tulivat muoviset samankokoiset kyltit.

1970-luvun puolivälin aikoihin tulivat tarrat.

The official SF identifier plate has reportedly always been white, although unofficial black-background versions were also used alongside it.

During the 1930s–1940s, the size was approximately 180 × 300 mm.

In 1951, Finland officially defined the dimensions of the SF identifier plate:

  • Minimum size: 115 × 175 mm
  • Letter height: 80 mm
  • Stroke thickness: 10 mm

During the 1950s–1960s, the standard size became established at 125 × 185 mm.

In the late 1960s, plastic plates of the same size were introduced.

Around the mid-1970s, adhesive sticker versions began to appear
