What it is

A vertical mounting solution for the Bambu Lab Filament Track Switch designed for users who want more flexibility in their AMS and PTFE tube routing setup.

 

Unlike printer-mounted solutions, this mount allows the Filament Track Switch to be installed on a wall, table, enclosure, rack, or other flat surface closer to the AMS units. The vertical orientation helps create a shorter, cleaner, and more efficient PTFE tube path between dual AMS units and the printer.

I originally designed this mount for users preparing for upcoming H2 Series support, but the design is universal and can also be used with other supported Bambu Lab printer setups using the Filament Track Switch.

Compatible with the Bambu Lab Filament Track Switch (sold separately).

Why this design?

This mount was created for users who:

  • Cannot or do not want to mount directly to the printer
  • Want shorter PTFE tube routing
  • Have AMS units positioned away from the machine
  • Use enclosures or custom workstations
  • Want cleaner filament management

The vertical orientation also keeps the Track Switch easily accessible while reducing unnecessary PTFE tube length.

What you need

  • One printed mount
  • Bambu Lab Filament Track Switch kit
  • Mounting screws or hardware appropriate for your surface

No additional modifications are required.

Print settings

Recommended materials:

  • PLA / PLA+
  • PETG
  • ABS / ASA

PETG or ABS/ASA is recommended for enclosed printers or higher-temperature environments.

Support recommendations:

  • Supports are optional but recommended for the larger mounting holes if you want the cleanest possible finish.
  • Mixed-material supports work especially well (PLA with PETG interface layer, etc.).
  • Can also be printed successfully on a single-nozzle printer using support interface layers.

Installation

  1. Print the mount in your preferred material.
  2. Mount the holder to a wall, table, enclosure, or other flat surface.
  3. Insert the Filament Track Switch into the holder.
  4. Route PTFE tubes and cables using the shortest practical path.
  5. Connect the Track Switch following Bambu Lab’s official installation instructions.
