The Yun-30 transport aircraft completed its maiden flight in December 2025, and is currently in the early stages of research flight testing and type certification, developed by AVIC Shaanxi Aircraft Industry Group Co., Ltd. and positioned to fill the capacity gap between Yun-9 and Yun-20 as a four-engine turboprop medium tactical transport aircraft.
This design was based on online images and relevant parameter information, and after multiple print tests and design modifications, considering the characteristics of 3D printing, it was finally completed.
The fuselage of this model is about 360mm long, with retractable landing gear and openable landing gear bay doors.
Tested by printing with both Bambu Lab PETG and PLA materials, the overall appearance of PLA is better, and PETG has better elasticity.
Due to the inherent limitations of FDM 3D printing, small parts may deform due to support surfaces and material stacking, and the support surfaces may not be smooth. Repairs might be needed before installation. Parts prone to issues are noted in the installation instructions.
There are many printed parts, so patience is required for assembly. The main body in the print profile uses 1 wall, 10% infill. If higher strength is desired, you can download and adjust it on your computer. The print test body used 1 wall, 10% infill, and other parts used default 2 walls, 15% infill.
