A common issue with these style flush valves is that the rubber gasket starts to wear out and makes it hard to flush.  Each time you have to press hard on the flush handle to it slams into the end stop of the flush tower and can crack and eventually break the end stop.  Most of the time you can find the gaskets easily in your big box store, but they do not seem to sell the end stop\cap.  You end up needing to buy the whole flush valve and dismantle your toilet to install it.  The end stop unscrews and you can replace it with this reinforced model.
