Description
This model is for a strong clamping knob, size M8. These knobs are used extensively in my workshop for jigs and guides.
Two variations are provided: one includes a recess for a large washer (25.8mm x 1.8mm), the other has no washer recess. If want to use a different washer size, you can use the model without a washer - remix it by cutting your own recess, using the slicer or CAD.
The model includes an embedded M8 nut. The print profile includes a pause just before the nut is printed over. When the print pauses, drop in a standard M8 hex head nut, then continue. Note that the pause is on the plate, not the object, so if you are printing multiple knobs at once, clone the object on the same plate.
The print profile is configured for high strength. I recommend printing in PETG or other tough plastic. No print supports are needed.
