Restore your collection to near-mint condition! Leave a boost if you love clever, functional prints!

The TCG Rescue Press uses silica gel to safely uncurl Pokémon, MTG & Yu-Gi-Oh cards without crushing them!
100% Printable: No hardware! Custom screws & tool included.
Zero Damage: Perfect offset keeps cards safe.
Capacity: Press 5 or 10 cards.
Smart Design: Built-in slot so you never lose the tool.

Save your TCG cards (Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!) curled by humidity with this innovative press! Unlike traditional presses that crush cards and risk ruining them, the TCG Rescue Press uses a combined system of gentle alignment and moisture absorption.

The design creates a protective cage around the card, keeping it perfectly flat thanks to a perfectly calculated offset. Meanwhile, a dedicated cavity holds silica gel that gently extracts moisture, safely restoring the original shape of your rare card.

✨ Key Features:

  • Zero Damage: The card is not pressed violently but held in the correct position while the silica gel works its magic.
  • Flexible Capacity (1, 5 or 10 Cards): I created three different profiles for the lid, allowing you to choose whether to press one single card or 5/10 cards simultaneously depending on your restoration needs.
  • 100% Printable (No Hardware): You don't need metal screws, nuts, or other external accessories. Everything, including the screws and the tool to tighten them, is 3D printed!
  • Never Lose Your Tool: I know how easy it is to lose small printed tools! That's why I put extra effort into designing a flush, snap-in storage slot directly on the back of the press. Once you're done tightening the screws, just pop the custom tool into its dedicated recess and you'll always know where it is.

⚙️ Recommended Print Settings:

To ensure perfect mechanical function, the project uses two optimized print profiles:

  • Layer Height 0.08 mm: To be used for the "perforated core" and all M6 screws. This ultra-high resolution is essential to ensure the fluidity and precision of the threads.
  • Layer Height 0.20 mm: To be used for the main box, the top lid, and the silica gel compartment closure. It optimizes print times while maintaining excellent structural solidity.

⚠️ Warning: Essential Usage Tips

To get the most out of the press and avoid ruining your cards or prints, strictly follow these instructions (you can find the complete assembly guide attached to the files):

  • Shell Assembly: When inserting the grilled shell into its recessed seat in the main box, pay attention to the correct orientation. The part without the recess must face downwards, as seen in the photos.
  • Bottom Fixing Screws: When fastening the 4 screws on the main box, do not apply too much force. Since these are plastic parts, over-tightening could break the thread.
  • Silica Gel Choice: Fill the dedicated space using silica gel beads with a minimum diameter of 2.5 mm.
  • Cylindrical Head Screws: Tighten these screws using the special printed tool. Pay attention to the force used. Since the shell box is printed with a 0.2 mm profile, it will be harder to rotate; let them reach the end without pulling too much.
  • Card Protection: Always place a piece of parchment paper (baking paper), slightly smaller than a TCG card, both under and over the curled card before closing the press.
  • Lid Closure: When closing the lid with the remaining 4 screws, do not apply too much pressure. The measurements are perfect to avoid marking the cards. Over-tightening the screws could irreparably damage your card.
  • Patience: Once the press is closed, wait 36 to 48 hours to allow the moisture to dry completely and restore your card.

Can this be used to hydrate the cards? I live in a low humidity area and my cards are curling backwards due to the lack of humidity.

Hey buddy! No, this project is only for removing moisture from the cards, sorry 😉 If I can give you a tip, try placing your cards in hermetic plastic food container (the same one used for salads) with 3/4 of a drop of water and leaving them there for 12-24 hours. If you have a moisture meter, that would be great (like the one on the Bambu website).

Hey man, This looks great. is it the idea that you humidify the card yourself so that you can remove creases aswell? or is it just a safe a bent card thing?

Hey Man! Yes, exactly, it's designed specifically to remove moisture creases only. If you're interested in a way to remove small creases, you can try the tool I created previously; you can find it in my projects!
