Description
This dust shroud is an addon piece for the Ridgid oscillating belt & spindle sander. It gets fastened in the same location as the optional stop block, using the same thumb screw that came with the sander. It positions the dust inlet and vacuum much closer to where the source is and thus is much more effective at collecting. It comes in two pieces, the shroud as well as an extension. The shroud is positioned just behind the left side of the belt and still allows for contour sanding against the curve. The extension clicks on with the help of indexing tabs and 10mm x 2.3mm magnets. With the extension attached, the shroud reaches all the way around to the front of the belt and does a phenomenal job at capturing all the dust. The inlet port is for a standard 2 ½" hose.
