Description
Magnetic easily removeable telescoping way cover for smaller lathes. This one is specifically designed for the Holzmann ED400FD but will fit many other lathes. Look at the dimensions to see if it can fit your application.
Helps keep chips and debris out of your carriage way wipers and places where you dont want it.
Some assembly is required:
- Two small dabs of glue for the ends of the springs contacting the top slide cover.
- Glue in the magnets.
- Optional glue on the “Slide Lock”
Dimensions:
Width: 176mm ~ 6.9" inches
Length extended: 165mm ~ 6,5" inches
Length collapsed: 97mm ~ 3,8" inches
Max thickness: 4mm ~ 0.16" inches
Running your auto feed too far will obviously crush the cover so keep that in mind. (Going that far will probably have you crashing into the chuck anyway).
Additional parts needed:
- 4 8x2mm round magnets.
- Super glue (CA glue).
