👋 Hello there! This project is an essential accessory designed specifically to complement my main project: SNAPMAKER U1 AMS - Filament DRY Box Holder.
Moisture is the #1 enemy of high-quality 3D printing. These custom-fitted desiccant (silica gel) containers maximize the internal space of your U1 AMS Box to keep your filaments bone-dry and ready to print.
✨ Key Project Features:
- 🧩 Custom Fit for U1 AMS: Precisely engineered to occupy the available void spaces within the main dry box holder without obstructing the filament spools or rollers.
- 💨 Optimized Airflow Design: Featuring a densely slotted grid structure that allows for maximum air circulation through the silica beads while safely retaining them within the container.
- 💧 Maximum Absorption: Helps maintain the lowest possible humidity levels inside the box, crucial for moisture-sensitive materials like PETG, TPU, and Nylon.
- ♻️ Refillable & Reusable: The convenient open-top design (or sliding lid - adjust this part based on your actual model mechanism) allows for easy filling, emptying, and regeneration of your desiccant.
⚙️ Recommended Print Settings:
- Material: PETG or ABS/ASA are highly recommended due to their superior heat resistance, especially if your printing environment or dry box gets warm.
- Layer Height: 0.2 mm is recommended to ensure the fine grid slots print cleanly and bridge properly.
- Wall Loops: 2 or 3.
- Infill: 15% (e.g., Gyroid or Grid).
- Supports: This model is optimized to minimize supports. Orient it flat on the build plate (based on design). Use standard bridging settings.
