Here is my latest project: an armored space interceptor with a biomechanical design, inspired by classic grimdark sci-fi universes.

The model is designed to be versatile: in the printing profiles I have uploaded both the version with the entire ship, and the one with the ship cut into three pieces with dowels for assembly, which requires fewer supports and makes printing faster and of higher quality.
I recommend the ship cut into 3 pieces, with dowels and if needed (I used it) a bit of glue, the entire ship has not been tested in printing

Technical Details:
The basic design was created with the support of artificial intelligence, and then refined by hand in ZBrush and Blender.

The model has been decimated to about 600K polygons to optimize geometry cleanliness and proportions, ensuring excellent printing performance.

Printing and Post-production:

The model has been successfully tested and printed on Bambu Lab A1 mini, optimizing its dimensions to make the most of the printing volume. Feel free to scale the model as you wish.

⚠️ Caution regarding support removal:

Given the complexity of the model and the presence of fine details, I recommend extreme caution. I advise using precision tweezers and sharp modeling knives. Proceed slowly, starting from the less visible areas: calm, patience, and delicacy are the keys to safely extracting the model from its support "cage".

Printing tips:

  • Material: PLA
  • Supports: Necessary.
  • Orientation: Optimized to maximize the print area on the A1 mini.

Note: I share this project out of pure passion, for my collection, and to challenge the limits of FDM printing. The rendered images you see are visual proposals created using AI; I am still learning about brush painting, so I leave it to you to do justice to this model with your colors!

If you print it, don't forget to upload your photos: I'm really curious to see your finished works.

Happy printing!
