DS lIte Hinge Fix

Finally, the biggest problem of the DS Lite is solved — now the broken hinge can be replaced.

To install the hinge fix, you’ll need a pair of 3D printer side cutters and a flat needle file.
You’ll have to separate the upper and lower parts of the shell to remove the old hinge — removing the screen is not required.

Carefully cut away the internal supports with the side cutters as shown in the photos. Then place the top cover back on and gently trim the excess plastic from the lid using the side cutters. Smooth out any uneven surfaces with the flat file.

The new hinge fits directly into its slot and is then held in place by the top cover and screw — no glue is needed.
When inserting the hinge mechanism, make sure it is fully seated in position.

Nozzle: 0.4 mm

Layer height: 0.2 mm

Works perfectly with both PLA and PETG
