Corner-Foot for IKEA SAMBORD LAMP or other M12x1.5
Print Profile(1)

Description
The IKEA SAMBORD reading lamp has a circular foot, so it has to stand a little off any wall or edge. I wanted to use this lamp as reading lamp in the room's corner behind my couch, so I built an alternative foot. It is cut open, so the cable can be fed through without dismantling the lamp.
Just unscrew the original foot, slide it down along the cable until it can be hidden somewhere, slide the printed foot over the cable and screw it into the lamp's body.
It should match any other M12 screw with a 1.5mm thread pitch (SAMBORD does not use the default 1.75 thread pitch! Check before if you're unsure and want to use this for another lamp).
The slot in the back can also be used to feed the cable back up and over the skirting board/baseboard. I used some velcro tape to fix it above the foot, just to be sure.
Now the lamp can stand safely in the corner without tipping over - but I don't expect this to be able to stand freely, it's just to prevent tipping behind the couch!
The default print model sports a modifier around the threads and the lamp guiding pipe to improve stability, so try not to mess with it đ
