Description

Check out my new sponge tray:

Customizable Kitchen Sink Sponge Tray - double slope

A simple two-part sponge tray that mounts around the kitchen faucet and keeps the sponge elevated for better sink organization with double slope (inclined plane in two directions) for perfect drainage.

The model prints without supports, requires no hardware, and assembles easily after printing.

The tray is fully customizable: you can generate it to match your faucet diameter, tray width, tray length, and the internal left-to-right tray inclination.

The base design also includes a fixed 10° back-to-front incline to help water drain away from the sponge.

The included print profiles cover two faucet diameters: 40.5 mm and 47.2 mm.
The model height is 22mm. Check the height you need and scale down the height only in case you need a thinner one to fit.

Please measure your faucet diameter (where you want to attach the tray) and add maybe 0.1mm or even 0.2mm, then use the customizer to generate your perfect fitting model:
Some useful points:

  • i would use the maximum inclination for left-right that you can set for your custom size. (helps for faster water drain and also prints better i think)
  • try first to fit the connector before attaching it to the faucet. Usually prints can be a bit rough first time and it's better to try the fit before. If the connector seems to be to hard to insert, clean the parts a bit, before forcing it in, as you will not be able to take it off if you force it.

If you want to change sides, for whatever model size you have, just right click on each part and select “Mirror” → “Along X Axis” ( be sure to do it for both parts )

That is a really nice and useful model that I've never know that i needed. :) The print profile is really good. Just hit print with default settings and it was perfect. The tolerances were ok, from my point of view i would let them a little more stiff and i would block the bottom side somehow. Unfortunately for me i didn't take into consideration the height of the model and i can't use it. You get a 5 star from me!

thank you ! you can scale the height in the slicer to the desired one, if you are limited. The model height is 22mm.

Is there any way to modify the parameters so that the pipe cut-out can be moved front-to-back? I measured everything perfectly for my application and it didn't even dawn on me until after I printed it, that I need the pipe cutout to begin 33mm from the front of the tray... I also noticed that the pipe hole has a slant to it. Is it possible to change this so that it's straight/perpendicular?
