40K Deep Strike 9 Inch Measuring Tool Template

Disclaimer: I know nothing about 40k. I just got asked to make a few things for my local nerd collective, so here's part of that release!

This deep strike measuring tool was designed to take the guesswork out of one of the most common measurements in 40K. Built around the standard 9 inch requirement, it gives you a fast and consistent way to check placement without constantly reaching for a tape measure.

The arc layout makes it easy to position units correctly, while the stepped measurement markers from 1 inch through to 9 inch allow for quick visual checks during gameplay. It is especially useful for newer players learning positioning, but just as effective for keeping experienced games moving smoothly.

The design is split into sections for easy printing and assembly, with a central handle for comfortable placement and control on the table. Once assembled, it forms a solid and reliable measuring tool that holds its shape during use.

This was originally created for a local group training new players, where speed and clarity were more important than anything else. It has since become a simple but effective tool for keeping games flowing without constant measuring interruptions.

Design Notes
All files are uploaded exactly as printed unless specified otherwise in project description (normally under a bold, red IMPORTANT). Some designs use different scaling (e.g. drinks lightbox series: front plate 90%, back plate 100%). If resizing, double-check your scale before printing.

All designs are created in Autodesk Fusion. Colours are separated in the Objects tab of Bambu Studio, so you can easily recolour if needed (e.g. single AMS setups).
