A macabre statement piece for the discerning maker, inspired by ancient catacombs and gothic architecture.
Bring a haunting touch of dark academia to your space with this intricately sculpted Ossuary Warden corbel. This statement piece captures the chilling essence of a historic ossuary, featuring a prominent central skull backed by crossed bones. Flanked by smaller skulls and anchored by a downward-pointing dagger, the composition is framed by detailed architectural pillars and a classical gothic arch. It is designed to be mounted securely, serving as a functional shelf or a compelling piece of macabre wall art.
Design Features
Macabre Composition: Features a central skull, crossed femurs, smaller flanking skulls, and a finely detailed downward-pointing dagger.
Gothic Architecture: The skulls are recessed within a sweeping gothic arch, supported by ornate, classical pillars.
Functional Cornice Molding: The flat top is defined by textured molding, making it a perfect functional shelf.
Strategic Supports: Required to ensure the deep undercuts of the eye sockets, jawbones, and the hilt of the dagger print sharply without sagging, maintaining the structural integrity.
Material & Craftsmanship
The focus of this design is on capturing the bone-like texture and weight of carved stone. Printed here on the Bambu A1 using white PLA+/Pro filament, the matte finish absorbs light beautifully, highlighting the deep recesses and gothic details. The natural layer lines blend harmoniously with the organic texture, creating a convincing appearance of age and carved masonry right out of the printer.
Recommended Settings
