This is a rubber band blaster that imitates a Derringer pistol, inspired by a woodworking piece I saw on a foreign website many years ago. I recreated this piece from memory, and it requires no hardware. I hope you like it

Even without firing rubber bands, it can be played with as a fidget toy; simply cock and pull the trigger

Its design also makes it suitable as a very beautiful decorative item

Installation requires rubber bands and no other tools; it's very simple to fix with directly printed pins

Note⚠️: For overall stability and sturdiness, the pin gaps I've allowed for are quite tight, so it's recommended to tap them in with a rubber mallet

The rubber band specifications I used for installation are two 10mm bands and one 25mm band, two different sizes. It fires the 25mm rubber bands

You can choose rubber bands that suit you, for example, 20mm or 16mm, just ensure they are taut

It's recommended to fire 3 rubber bands; installing too many might damage it because it's too small and might not withstand excessive tension

Printing filament tested with PETG and PLA, both can be printed perfectly

Please refer to the video for installation

Added my own "bullets" after a slight modification to the model. Using it as a ammo tracker for a wild west game, so it works perfectly for that. Pegs were a little tight in spots, and getting the right tension on the rubber bands was important, but it works well and it's an awesome looking design.

If there’s no assembly guide, it might be a chance to try assembling it yourself it can be a fun way to learn and experiment.

You need to make the rubber band of the internal binding parts a little tighter to avoid this situation

Please watch the assembly video, the position of each pin is different, maybe you put it in the wrong place. Yes, for ease of printing, the pins are not perfectly round, and the holes are the same.

Brilliant all-in-one design! This Derringer rubber band gun requires absolutely no hardware — purely printed mechanical excellence. The trigger mechanism and barrel geometry are impressively engineered for reliable rubber band projection. Historically inspired yet playfully modern, this desk toy is a testament to what clever design thinking can achieve!

This is awesome, but I think you could improve this by removing the need of the internal rubber bands, and replacing it with printed springs or something.
